Kevin served as both a player and a coach for the T-Bird men’s basketball team, donning the black and gold as a player from 1982-1984 before returning to serve as head coach from 1998-2010. As a player, Muff was a McDonald’s and Converse High School All-American and would earn first-team All-Region VI Honors as a sophomore. Muff would come back to coach the T-Birds for 12 seasons following a five-year tenure at Wamego High School, where he led the Red Raiders to a second-place finish in the 1998 Kansas 4A State Tournament. Muff guided Cloud County to 202 wins and averaged 21 wins per season in his final five seasons while leading the T-Birds to their first KJCCC West Division Title in school history in 2005. In 2010, Muff would be named head coach of Pittsburg State University where he would go on to spend seven seasons and compile 97 wins while being named 2015 MIAA Co-Coach of the year after leading the Gorillas to their sixth all-time appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
