The 2011 Cloud County Community College men’s soccer team became the first Kansas team to win the NJCAA Division I National Championship with a 4-1 victory over Monroe College of New York. That victory followed a thrilling semi-final triumph over two-time defending national champion Tyler, TX. The T-Birds, coached by Steve Ralos, finished the season with a record of 21-1-4 and defeated Coffeyville for the Region VI Championship and Western Texas for the Plains District Championship to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament.
