Carla (Chaffee) Pierson is one of the most accomplished athletes in Cloud County Community College history, earning NJCAA All American honors nine times. Her CCCC career was highlighted by winning the 1981 NJCAA National Indoor Championship in the 800M with a new national record time of 2:18.2. In 1982, Carla anchored the Cloud Women’s 4x800M Relay team to another NJCAA National Championship and another national record time of 9:35.9. She anchored the five other relay teams during her CCCC career that finished either 2nd or 3rd in NJCAA National Competition.
