Kelly Ross was a dynamic defenseman for the Cloud County Community College men’s soccer program from 1985-1987. The two-year starter became the first NJCAA All-American in program history following a sophomore season that saw the T-Birds finish 13-2-1 overall and reach their second consecutive Region VI Title game. Cloud County won the first Region VI Championship in program history during his freshman year in 1985-86 and finished as the Midwest District runner-up, with Ross earning All-Midwest District honors. He continued his playing career at Rockhurst University and graduated in 1990 before earning his National Referee’s license. Ross worked as a Major League Soccer official between 1996-2004, and as an official in the Major Indoor Soccer League/National Professional Soccer League from 1989-2011. He was also the Men’s Head Soccer Coach at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 1990-1993.
