Jennifer would be a two-sport athlete for the T-Birds, participating in both volleyball and track and field. As a volleyball player, Thalmann would help Cloud County to an 83-20 record over her two seasons while recording 438 kills as CCCC would finish as Region VI runner-up in 1992 and third in 1993. Thalmann would be named a seven-time NJCAA All-American and Academic All-American in track and field, setting the outdoor school record in the high jump (5 ft. – 8.75 in.) and heptathlon (4,853 points) along with the indoor pentathlon record (3,357 points). The 1994 season would also see Thalmann become the first Cloud County athlete in school history to earn a medal at the Texas Relays, posting a second-place finish in the high jump.
