Five-time NJCAA National Champion Jolene Mick ran for the Thunderbird cross country and track and field team from 2003-2005. She was the individual NJCAA National Champion in cross country in 2003 and was a nine-time NJCAA All-American in her time at Cloud County. Mick, a native of Osborne, KS, was also awarded the Most Valuable Athlete Award at the 2004 NJCAA Indoor National Track and Field Meet in which she won the 3,000 and 5,000-meter races. Mick currently holds six individual Cloud County school records in distance events. She continued her career at Kansas Wesleyan University where she would break multiple school records in cross country and track.
