Box Score 2 The Cloud County Community College softball team held late leads in both of their games on Thursday, March 12 at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid, but the Jets came back in both contests to pull out 5-4 and 10-9 victories over the T-Birds.
Cloud County (4-6) struck first in the top of the first inning in game one when freshman pitcher
Maddie Harold doubled to score sophomore short stop

Northern Oklahoma College-Enid tied the game in the bottom of the fourth when sophomore Morgan Hayes connected on a bases-loaded double, bringing home freshman Addison Cassady and sophomore Jalynn Jones.
A sacrifice fly by sophomore Albany Pritchard put the Jets on top at 3-2 at the end of the fifth inning.
The T-Birds regained the lead in the top of the seventh inning. After sophomore outfielder
Bella Santin bunted to lead-off the frame, freshman outfielder
Brooke Lougheed drilled a two-run home run to give Cloud County a 4-3 advantage.
Northern Oklahoma College-Enid had freshman Ally Neal and sophomore Cassidi Cook reach on back-to-back bunts with one out in the seventh. After Harold was able to get Pritchard to pop out to second baseman
Hailey Garcia for the second out of the inning, sophomore Hayden Haulcomb singled to score both Neal and Cook to steal the win on a walkoff.
Harold took the loss as she pitched all seven innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.
Cloud County tallied nine hits in the loss. Harold went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Santin finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Sophomore catcher
Yesenia Zamarron went 2-for-3, while Lougheed ended up 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
The T-Birds played from behind to start game two, after the Jets plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Cloud County answered with one run in the top of the second when freshman catcher

Cloud County added three more runs in the top half of the fourth. Curtis connected on a one-out single, and Santin soon followed with a two-out walk. Lougheed then doubled on a hard line drive, bringing in both Curtis and Santin. Freshman catcher
Jaci Vonlintel followed with an RBI single to score Lougheed, giving Cloud County a 4-2 advantage.
Northern Oklahoma College-Enid rallied for three runs in the bottom part of the fourth, including two runs on a defensive error, to take back the lead at 5-4.
The T-Birds continued to attack in the fifth. Gardner led off the inning with a double, while Harold followed with a base hit. Freshman designated player
Allison Adams then drilled a double to score both Gardner and Harold. Curtis singled to score Adams, while Carver added an RBI base hit to drive in Curtis. The T-Birds led 8-5 at the end of the fifth inning.
Adams added another double in the top of the sixth to score Gardner, extending Cloud County's lead to 9-5.
Unfortunately for Cloud County, Northern Oklahoma College-Enid would score five runs on five hits, including a pair of extra-base hits, to erase the deficit and grab a 10-9 advantage.
Cloud County was retired in order in the top of the seventh.
Curtis allowed five runs on six hits with one walk in four innings and finished with a no-decision. Freshman
Morgan Williams came on in relief in the sixth inning, giving up five runs on seven hits with one walk to take the loss.

Curtis led the way at the plate, finishing the game 3-for-3 with three runs scored and one RBI. Adams went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, one run scored and three RBI. Carver also had two hits with a double and two RBI. Lougheed finished the matchup 3-for-5 with a double, one run scored and two RBI.
Cloud County will continue its current four-game road swing on Monday, March 16 at Doane University JV.
