The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) formally announced its 2026 NJCAA Division 2 Plains District Tournament All-Tournament Team on Sunday, May 10, honoring the top individual performances from the postseason. Cloud County Community College freshman Ava Boden was recognized for her standout contributions.

Throughout the three-game stretch, Boden collected three extra-base hits, including her first two career home runs. Boden hit a game-tying two-run home run to center field against Kansas City Kansas Community College. She launched her second two-run home run of the tournament against Allen Community College. The Derby, Kansas native added a triple, six runs batted in, two runs scored and one stolen base during the week.

In the circle, Boden threw 6.2 innings against Allen where she allowed seven runs, six earned, on 10 hits with one walk and two strikeouts.

Boden ended her freshman campaign by posting a .258 average with 31 hits, five doubles, one triple, two home runs, 10 stolen bases, 22 runs scored and 22 RBI. Boden also went 5-6 in the circle, registering a 6.25 ERA with 21 strikeouts.

The T-Birds finished the 2026 season with a 20-21 record, a four win improvement from last season. Cloud County also made its first postseason appearance since 2019 and won its first postseason game since 2017.
