Manasseh Stackhouse has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week after producing a dominant two-game stretch highlighted by double-double road performances against Fort Hays Tech Northwest and Garden City Community College last week.
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 25.0 points on 59.5 percent shooting and 11.0 rebounds per game.
The Zion, Illinois native posted a season-high 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, including knocking down three treys, in the team's 92-73 win at Fort Hays Tech Northwest. Stackhouse added 10 rebounds. He then tallied a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds in the team's 87-85 victory at Garden City.
Stackhouse, Cloud County's team leader in points per game and rebounds per game, now has three double-double performances in the team's last four games. The T-Birds have won three straight since returning from the Christmas holiday break.
Stackhouse was also named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance, becoming the second T-Bird men's basketball player to receive a weekly conference honor this season.
Cloud County (9-7, 4-6 KJCCC) returns to action Wednesday, January 14 at 8 pm hosting Butler Community College inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium. The game will be streamed live on the
