Cloud County Baseball Team Rises to No. 2 in Final Regular Season NJCAA Baseball Rankings

Cloud County Baseball Ranked No. 2 in Latest NJCAA D1 Baseball Rankings

After capturing their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) West Division Championship in school history, the Cloud County Community College baseball team has risen to No. 2 in the final regular season NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals. The No. 2 ranking marks Cloud County's highest national ranking in program history.

Johnson County Community College remains No. 1, receiving all 10 first-place votes. Blinn College moved up two spots to No. 3, while Gaston College dropped two spots to No. 4. Chipola College rounds out the top five.

The T-Birds have been ranked inside the top 10 nationally for ten consecutive weeks. Cloud County concluded the regular season with a 47-5 overall record and a 28-4 mark in KJCCC play.

Postseason play begins with a best-of-three series in the opening round of the 2026 NJCAA Division I Plains District Tournament May 7-9. Cloud County is the No. 2 seed and will face No. 15 seed Highland in Concordia on Thursday, May 7 at 2 pm. Game two will be played Friday, May 8 at 1 pm. If necessary, game three will be played Saturday, May 9 at 1 pm.
