The Cloud County Community College baseball team continues to climb in the national rankings, moving up to No. 3 in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals after previously sitting at No. 5.
The T-Birds won three of four in last week's Kansas Jayhawk Communitiy College Conference (KJCCC) series with the Barton Cougars, improving to 43-5 overall and 24-4 in KJCCC play. Cloud County will close out conference play with a four-game series against Seward County Community College, beginning with a road doubleheader on Wednesday, April 29 at 1 pm.
Johnson County Community College continues to rank at the top. Gaston College sits at No. 2, just ten points ahead of Cloud County. Midland College and Blinn College round out the top five.
Cloud County has not lost a KJCCC series this season. Last year, the T-Birds won three of four in their KJCCC series with Seward County, including sweeping the Saints on the road by final scores of 9-3 and 14-4.
