The Cloud County Community College baseball team is ranked inside the top-five in the NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals for the fifth time this season. The T-Birds are slotted at No. 5 in the latest rankings released Monday, April 6.
Cloud County has six ranked wins this season while compiling a 32-4 overall record and a 17-3 mark in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play. The T-Birds have won each of its five KJCCC series this year and are in first place in the KJCCC West following its KJCCC series win over previously-No. 12-ranked Hutchinson Community College last week. Hutchinson has dropped to No. 19 in the latest rankings after dropping three games in their four-game series to Cloud County.
Johnson County Community College remains at No. 1 in the latest rankings with a 38-2 overall record, while an additional KJCCC school, Kansas City Kansas Community College, is now receiving votes.
The T-Birds return to Lee Doyen Field in Concordia, Kansas for a non-conference game when they face the Cowley College Tigers on Tuesday, April 7. First pitch will be at 2 pm and the game will be streamed live on the
T-Bird Sports Network.
