Cloud County Community College freshman Natassia Burrell earned her second weekly honor of the outdoor season, being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, March 31.

Burrell picked up three event wins at the 2026 Mark A. Phillips Tiger Classic, winning the discus, hammer throw, and javelin throw.

Burrell took first place in the Women's Discus with a throw of 157'11". Burrell won the Women's Hammer Throw with a throw of 157'3". Burrell also claimed a first place finish in the Women's Javelin with a throw of 135'2". 

All three marks were collegiate bests for Burrrell, who now has the number one mark in the NJCAA in the discus, as well as the number five mark in the javelin and the number seven mark in the hammer throw.

The T-Birds will now get ready to compete in the 2026 Midwest Classic and Multis at Emporia State University on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3.
