The Cloud County Community College women's track and field team competed at the two-day Emporia State University Midwest Classic and Multi on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3.
T-Bird freshman
Arihanna Koehn claimed a first place finish in the Women's 400M Hurdles with a national qualifying time of 1:04.10. Freshman
Addy Goeckel placed fifth with a time of 1:08.38.
Koehn added a sixth place finish in the Women's 100M Hurdles with a time of 15.33.
Freshman
Alexis Smith posted a runner-up finish in the Women's 400M Dash with a time of 57.99. Freshman
Scholastica Herman followed in third place with a time of 58.47, while freshman
Makaiah Hitchman finished in seventh place with a time of 1:01.52.
Smith added a fifth place finish in the Women's 200M Dash with a time of 25.72.
Herman registered a third place finish in the Women's 1500M Run with a time of 4:44.37. Freshman
Maureen Jepchirchir placed tenth with a time of 5:00.66.
Jepchirchir also recorded an eighth place finish in the Women's 800M Run with a time of 2:29.93.
Also on the track, freshman
Amia Todman finished in seventh place in the Women's 100M Dash with a time of 11.94.
Sophomore
Tahlia Lienert scored a fourth place finish in the Women's Heptathlon with 4,530 total points.
In throwing events, freshman
Jesse Hoover picked up a sixth place finish in the Women's Javelin Throw with a throw of 138'7".
Freshman
Zoey Sudbeck placed tenth in the Women's Discus with a throw of 131'7".
Cloud County will return to action at the Grizzly Gold Invitational in El Dorado, Kansas on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.
