The Cloud County Community College women's outdoor track and field team won two individual Region 6 titles and added five runner-up performances on their way to a third place team finish at the 2026 NJCAA Region 6/Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Arkansas City, Kansas.
Cloud County earned 119 team points. Barton won the team title with 149 points, while Hutchinson finished in second place with 140 points.
Cloud County Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Drew Mahin was named the 2026 Region 6 Women's Coach of the Year, while T-Bird freshman
Natassia Burrell was honored at the meet as the 2026 Region 6 Women's Field Athlete of the Meet after scoring 24 points over three throwing events during the weekend.
Burrell won the Women's Javelin Throw with a throw of 139'09". Freshman
Jesse Hoover followed in second place with a throw of 139'06". Sophomore
Carlie Carlgren added a seventh place finish with a throw of 106'06".
Burrell secured a second place finish in the Women's Shot Put with a toss of 48'0.5". Freshman
Zoey Sudbeck added a fourth place finish with a toss of 43'2.5".
Burrell also picked up a third place finish in the Women's Hammer Throw with a throw of 164'0".
The Cloud County Women's 4x400M Relay team of freshmen
Alexis Smith and
Scholastica Herman and sophomores
Tahlia Lienert and
Maimuna Jallow scored a first place finish with a time of 3:43.92.
Herman posted a second place finish in the Women's 800M Run with a time of 2:13.04.
Herman added a fourth place finish in the Women's 1,500M Run with a time of 4:46.22.
Herman also joined freshmen
McKenzie Baker,
Maureen Jepchirchir and
Jade Williams on the Women's 4x800M Relay team that placed third with a time of 9:44.42.
Baker recorded a second place finish in the Women's 3,000M Steeplechase with a time of 12:39.98.
Lienert captured a second place finish in the Women's Heptathlon with 4,615 total points. Lienert won the 100M Hurdles, 200M Dash, 800M Run and placed third in the High Jump. Carlgren finished in fourth place with 4,123 total points. Carlgren took second in the Shot Put, fourth in the Javelin and fifth in the 100M Hurdles.
Carlgren later added a seventh place finish in the Women's 100M Hurdles with a time of 15.83.
Jepchirchir picked up a fourth place finish in the Women's 10,000M Run with a time of 41:38.46.
Jepchirchir also recorded a fifth place finish in the Women's 5,000M Run with a time of 19:23.47.

Amia Todman, Smith, freshman
Makaiah Hitchman and Jallow finished in fourth place overall with a time of 46.80.
Smith added a fourth place finish in the Women's 400M Dash with a time of 56.72. Hitchman placed seventh individually with a time of 59.11.
Freshman
Arihanna Koehn placed sixth in the Women's 400M Hurdles with a time of 1:04.56. Freshman
Addy Goeckel was eighth overall with a time of 1:05.44.

Nele Gösl landed a sixth place finish in the Women's Triple Jump at a distance of 34'11.25".
The T-Birds will close out the regular season at the 2026 Shocker Open at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kansas on May 8, before competing in the 2026 NJCAAÂ Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico May 14-16.
