The Cloud County Community College women's track and field team remains at No. 7 in the latest National Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI) released this week by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Cloud County last competed at the Emporia State University Relays on Thursday, April 16.
Freshman
Scholastica Herman captured a first place finish in the Women's 800M Run with a national qualifying time of 2:15.03. Herman also registered a runner-up finish in the Women's 1,500M Run with a time of 4:40.55, and was part of the Cloud County Women's 4x400M Relay team that placed fourth with a time of 3:56.17.
For her efforts, Herman has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Freshman
Natassia Burrell picked up a runner-up finish in the Women's Shot Put with a toss of 48'10.25".
In the Women's Discus, freshman
Zoey Sudbeck scored a third place finish with a throw of 139'9".
The T-Birds are set to compete this week at the Fort Hays State University Alex Francis Classic on Thursday, April 23.
