The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) has named Cloud County freshman Natassia Burrell as the Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week following the first weekend of outdoor competition for the T-Birds. Burrell turned in a strong performance at the University of Kansas Jayhawk Spring Fling, earning a pair of top-five finishes in the discus and hammer throw.

Burrell took third in the discus with a national qualifying mark of 156'2", which is the top mark in the NJCAA this season. Burrell went on to add a fifth place finish in the hammer throw with a national qualifying toss of 148'7".

This marks the second weekly honor of Burrell's career. She was previously named the KJCCC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on February 10.

The T-Birds will now get ready for the Mark A. Phillips Invitational in Arkansas City, Kansas on Saturday, March 28.
