The Cloud County Community College men's track and field team secured 14 top-ten finishes, including two event wins, during a split meet weekend at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Fred Beile Track and Field Classic in Crete, Nebraska.
Sophomore
Alpha Mpofu, the current NJCAA Men's Indoor Athlete of the Week, claimed the 200M and 400M titles in Lincoln. Mpofu won the 200M Dash in a national qualifying time of 21.30. Mpofu claimed the 400M Dash title in a national qualifying time of 47.01.
Sophomore
Barafa Abdulazis placed second in the 400M Dash in a time of 48.44, while freshman
Keon Williams placed ninth overall, crossing the finish line in 49.01.

Sonycko Ilet on the 4x400M Relay team, finishing third in a time of 3:12.45. A second T-Birds 4x400M Relay team of

Jabari Branche placed eighth in a time of 3:23.72.
Sophomore
Abdelaziz Benbrahim recorded a national qualifying time in the 600M with a time of 1:20.43.
Freshman
Davis Miltner led three T-Bird top-10 runners in the 5,000M. Miltner clocked a time of 15:57.67 to place sixth. Sophomore
Gelasa Degefa Abdisa followed in eighth place in a time of 16:25.62, while freshman
Jesus Baltazar ended up tenth in a time of 16:49.09.
In the Men's High Jump, sophomore
Mory Diop jumped a national qualifying height of 6'9" to capture a third place finish.
Freshman
Daiquan Monteith secured a ninth place finish in the Long Jump with a leap of 21'11.5".
In Crete, sophomore
Braylon Bittel picked up a fourth place finish in the Shot Put with a toss of 46'1.25".
Sophomore
Asa Berry added a ninth place finish in the Weight Throw with a throw of 50'3.5".
Next weekend, Cloud County travels to Topeka, Kansas for the Washburn University Ichabod Invitational at the Sneed Indoor Athletic Facility on Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14.
