The Cloud County Community College men's and women's track and field programs will host its annual youth camp, "Cloud Track Night," this spring at Harold M. Clark Stadium on the Concordia High School campus.
Cloud Track Night will run each Monday night in April (6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th) from 6 pm to 7 pm. The youth camp is open to kindergarten through six-grade students and will introduce them to a variety of events in track and field.
Cost to attend the camp is $30 with the registration covering all four nights of participation. A t-shirt will be available for purchase for an additional $10 (shirt orders are due April 6 and will be available for pickup after April 13).
Members of the Cloud County Community College men's and women's track and field teams will coach the kids through a warm up routine each night before breaking into events and playing a short track related game at the end of the evening. The goal of the camp is to allow each participant a chance to find an event area they enjoy and to teach the basic techniques to help them excel.
Interested parties are asked to bring their registration form and payment to the first night of camp on April 6. Any additional questions can be directed to Cloud County head women's track and field coach Drew Mahin via email at dmahin@cloud.edu or by phone at (785) 259-5659. An online registration form is available by clicking here.
