The Cloud County Community College baseball team has jumped into the 2026 NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals after starting the season with an impressive 9-1 record.

The T-Birds swept previously-ranked Weatherford College in a three-game road series over the weekend. Cloud County's success in Weatherford, Texas, mixed with their earlier season sweeps of Tyler Junior College, Arkansas State University-Mountain Home and Kansas Wesleyan University JV, has pushed the T-Birds to the No. 7 slot, the highest national ranking in program history.

Cloud County joins three other Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) schools in the top 25 this week. Johnson County Community College holds the No. 4 spot after starting the season with a 15-1 mark. Hutchinson Community College is No. 17, while Barton Community College rounds out the rankings at No. 25.

Following their games with Cloud County, Weatherford College dropped out of the rankings.

This week, Cloud County will aim to keep its good fortune going with a home contest against Kansas City Kansas Community College on Tuesday, February 24 at 2 pm, followed by a four-game set with Marshalltown Community College, beginning Friday, February 27.
