Box Score The Cloud County Community College baseball team scored double-digit runs for the third time this season on its way to sweeping its three-game road series against No. 7 Weatherford College. The T-Birds won both games of a doubleheader on February 20, 7-4 and 6-4 over the Coyotes, before closing out the series with a 16-13, nine-inning win February 21 at Roger Williams Ballpark in Weatherford, Texas.
The three-game sweep improves Cloud County's record to 9-1 on the season, including 5-1 in true road games.
The 16 runs scored by Cloud County was its most this year. Four T-Birds had multi-hit efforts in the win and four players drove in two or more runs.

Lucas Laukkanen all had two hits. Cathers had a double, while Budke drove in three runs. Sophomore catcher

Kale Koch provided a spark at the bottom of Cloud County's lineup, scoring three runs and two runs, respectively.
Cloud County trailed 4-0 early before plating four runs in the top of the third inning to pull even with the Coyotes. Laukkanen scored Koch on a sacrifice fly to center field. Baker scored both Seymour and Budke on a two-RBI triple. Baker later scored the tying run on a defensive error on Weatherford.
The Coyotes added on two more runs in the bottom half of the third.
The T-Birds answered back with a run in the fourth before gaining its first lead of the game on five runs in the top of the fifth. Marino led off the fifth with a solo home run to knot the game at 6. Freshman outfielder
Kellan Burke followed with a base hit before scoring on an RBI double by Cathers. An RBI single by Koch scored Cathers to make it an 8-6 lead. The Cloud County rally was not done as Koch was driven in on a sacrifice fly by Budke, while Seymour scored on a two-out, bases-loaded walk.
As play moved to the seventh, Cloud County extended its lead to 16-6 with six more runs. Seymour scored on another bases-loaded walk. Laukkanen scored when Burke reached on a fielder's choice. Clayton cleared the bases with a three-RBI double, bringing in Budke, Baker and Burke. Clayton capped the inning by scoring on a wild pitch.
For the third straight game, Weatherford attempted to stage a late-game comeback, scoring three runs in the seventh, three more runs in the eighth, and adding one last run on a solo home run with two outs in the ninth. Cloud County freshman
Jackson Fox bounced back to record a strike out to seal the win for the T-Birds.
Freshman
Gage Gannon was awarded the win, throwing 3.1 innings where he allowed no runs on two hits with two walks and one strikeout.
With the win, Cloud County is now 4-2 versus Weatherford over the last two seasons.
Cloud County will return home to host Kansas City Kansas Community College in a single, nine-inning game on Tuesday, February 24, then host Marshalltown Community College in a four-game series starting on Saturday, February 28.
