Box Score 2 The Cloud County Community College baseball team scored a pair of triumphs over No. 7 Weatherford College, defeating the Coyotes by 7-4 and 6-4 scores on Friday, February 20.

Kellan Burke crushed a two-run bomb for his first home run of the season to put the T-Birds ahead 2-0 in the top of the first inning of game one.

The T-Birds tallied 10 hits in the win, led by Burke's two hits and three RBI. Cathers also finished with two hits. Baker collected his second triple of the season, while Marino and Clayton each had a double.

Ian Razak struck out four batters across four strong innings and limited Weatherford to no runs on one hit to pick up the victory, his first of the season. Sophomore pitcher
Stocton Timbrook threw the first three innings, allowing four runs on five hits with five strikeouts.
In the nine-inning nightcap, Burke hit another home run to right field to give the T-Birds a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Baker delivered an RBI single to right field to score Budke and give Cloud County a 2-0 advantage in the sixth. Budke and Baker later smacked back-to-back solo home runs and the T-Birds led 6-0 entering the ninth inning.
After being held scoreless through eight innings, Weatherford College strung together a ninth-inning rally, scoring four runs in the final inning. Sophomore right-hander

Cole Linton scattered five hits across six innings in the starting assignment to improve to 3-0 on the season. Linton struck out six and walked two batters. Sophomore

Baker went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Burke finished 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored. Cathers added an RBI hit.
Cloud County has improved to 8-1 on the season, while Weatherford College saw their four-game winning streak snapped to fall to 7-6 overall.
The T-Birds and Coyotes are scheduled to conclude their three-game series with a single game on Saturday, February 21. First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm.
