The Cloud County Community College women's basketball team is bound for Liberal, Kansas to face the Seward County Saints in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on Wednesday, January 21 at the Greenhouse.
Tip-off is set for 6 pm. The game will be livestreamed by the
Seward County Sports Network.
Cloud County heads to Liberal with an 8-9 record and a 4-8 mark in KJCCC play. The T-Birds snapped a brief two-game losing skid with a 79-59 home win over Independence Community College on January 17. Freshman guard
Marilyn Soeken paced the T-Birds with a season-high 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Soeken converted on 3-of-7 from three-point range and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Freshman guard

Camiah Muldrow scored 10 points and added five rebounds and three assists.
Seward County enters Wednesday's game at 13-5 overall and 8-4 in KJCCC play. The Saints had won three straight before suffering a 76-61 road setback to No. 4 Dodge City Community College on January 16. Seward County is led by sophomore guard Avery Marchino, who leads the KJCCC in scoring at 19.5 points per game.
Seward County won the first matchup of the season, 73-71, on November 19 in Concordia. The game saw seven ties and ten lead changes. Muldrow led the way for Cloud County with 33 points on 11-of-24 shooting with three made three-pointers. Muldrow, who netted 18 points in the second-half, was also a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line and dished out a team-high five assists.
Seward County has won two in a row and three of its last four meetings with Cloud County.
The T-Birds are 1-4 in true road games this season. Cloud County heads to Liberal looking for a road win over the Saints for the first time since 2011.
Muldrow is the KJCCC's No. 2 leading scorer, averaging 18.8 points per game. Muldrow has scored in double-digits 15 times this season, including three games of 30+ points and seven games of 20+ points. Muldrow also ranks ninth in the KJCCC in assists at 3.6 assists per game.
Washington is averaging 12.8 points per game on a team-best 48.8 percent shooting from the field. Washington is also shooting a team-leading 45.3 percent from three-point range, and averages 7.9 rebounds per game.
Wurtz has a team-best five double-double performances this season. Wurtz is averaging 10.4 points per game while leading the T-Birds with 8.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per contest.
Sophomore forward
Sofija Todorovic is Cloud County's fourth leading scorer at 9.8 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
Makela has knocked down at least one three-pointer in 11 straight games. Makela has made a team-high 34 three-pointers this season and is averaging 9.5 points per game.
