The Cloud County Community College women's track and field team picked up three event wins at the 2025 Friends University Spring Open, held April 2-4.
The T-Birds did not take part in the final day of the meet due to wet weather conditions that entered the Wichita, Kansas area on April 4.
Cloud County freshman
Maimuna Jallow opened her season by winning the Women's 100M Dash by establishing a new school record and meet record in a national qualifying time of 11.53.
The T-Birds had four runners sweep the top four spots in the Women's 800M Run, with the top three runners shattering the previous meet record. Sophomore
Nontokozo Ncube won the 800M in a national qualifying time of 2:09.98. Sophomore
N Vanee Anchike finished second overall with a new personal-record, national qualifying time of 2:10.44. Sophomore
Mercy Angaamchaab established a new personal-record with a national qualifying time of 2:11.85 to finish third overall, while freshman
Amanda Kotambe followed in fourth place with a national qualifying time of 2:16.14.

Rafiatu Nuhu earned an event win in the Women's 400M Dash with a national qualifying time of 54.46.
Freshman
Nanhi Pannu qualified for nationals in the Women's 400M Hurdles, posting a time of 1:03.34 to finish in third place individually.
In field events, sophomore
Margherita Sala notched a fifth place finish in the Women's Hammer Throw with a throw of 143'9". Sophomore
Vivica Addison placed tenth in the Women's Hammer Throw with a throw of 131'1".
Freshman
Nele Goesl scored a sixth place finish in the Women's Triple Jump with a leap of 36'0.25". Freshman Kiley Smich placed eighth in the Women's Triple Jump at a distance of 32'9.75".
In the Women's Pole Vault, sophomore
Bradie Medina placed ninth overall at a height of 10'11.75".
Cloud County's next action is set for this weekend at the 2025 KT Woodman Classic at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kansas. Events begin at 6 pm on April 11.
