Box Score The Cloud County Community College women's basketball team was held to a season-low 29.0 percent shooting from the field in a 55-48 road loss to Colby Community College in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on Saturday, December 6. The loss is the team's fifth straight, which marks the program's longest losing streak since dropping nine in a row to conclude the 2019-2020 season.
The T-Birds struggled in the tightly matched, defensive game with Colby. Cloud County shot 29.0 percent from the field, including 25.0 percent from the floor in the second-half. The T-Birds shot only 21.7 percent from behind the arc, turned the ball over 17 times, and were outrebounded 42-24 in the contest. Colby also outscored Cloud County in bench points, points in the paint, and second-chance points.
Cloud County never led by more than one point the entire second-half. The team's final lead of the game came on a bucket in the lane by sophomore forward
Leila Washington in the closing minute of the third quarter. Colby sophomore guard Jera Kruleski nailed a three-pointer at the end of the period to put the Trojans ahead for good at 39-37.
Momentum stayed with Colby the rest of the way. Cloud County cut the deficit to one point at three separate intervals in the fourth quarter, but the Trojans were able to hold off the T-Birds by limiting Cloud County to one made field-goal in the game's final four minutes.

Freshman guard
Camiah Muldrow was the lone T-Bird in double-figures with 19 points to go with three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Washington followed with nine points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Kruleski led Colby with 13 points, five rebounds and four steals. Sophomore forward Dessirae Ulmer was also in double-figures with 10 points and five rebounds.
The loss drops Cloud County to 4-6 on the season and 0-5 in KJCCC action. The T-Birds will host No. 25 Coffeyville Community College on Wednesday, December 10 at 6 pm in Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
