Cloud County Women's Basketball Team Set for Second-Straight Conference Home Test on Saturday

The Cloud County Community College women's basketball team will close out a four game homestand on Saturday, November 22 with the first of two meetings this season against Barton Community College.

Tip-off from Arley Bryant Gymnasium is set for 2 pm and the game will be streamed live on the T-Bird Sports Network with Spencer Farha on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on NCK 94.9, with Austin McNorton calling the action.

The T-Birds are 4-2 on the year and 0-1 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play after dropping a 73-71 contest against Seward County Community College on November 19. Freshman guard Camiah Muldrow scored 30-plus points in a game for the second time this season as she led Cloud County with 33 points on 11-of-24 shooting with three made three-pointers. Muldrow, who netted 18 points in the second-half, was also a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line and dished out a team-high five assists.

Muldrow is the No. 3 leading scorer in the KJCCC, averaging 21.0 points per game for the season. Muldrow is shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 89.6 percent from the free-throw line. Muldrow has the second best free-throw percentage in the conference, while she also ranks fifth in the conference in assists (4.5 assists per game) and seventh in the conference in assists-to-turnover ratio (2.5).

Sophomore forward Leila Washington recorded her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Seward County. Washington ranks third on the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game on 48.4 percent shooting. She also leads the team with 9.3 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocked shots per game.

Sophomore forward Shea Wurtz also leads Cloud County in rebounding at 9.3 rebounds per game after she finished with eight points and four rebounds against Seward County. Wurtz has grabbed 10 rebounds or more in four of the team's six games this season. She also ranks third on the team in field-goal percentage at 47.2 percent.

Freshman forward Sofija Todorovic is Cloud County's second leading scorer at 14.2 points per game on a team-best 53.6 percent shooting from the floor. Todorovic also adds 6.0 rebounds per game.

Cloud County and Barton split their season series last season, with the T-Birds defeating the Cougars 70-44 in Concordia before Barton won 64-59 in Great Bend. In Cloud County's win on November 26, 2024, the T-Birds held the Cougars to 19.6 percent shooting from the field, including an 0-of-11 performance from three-point range. Cloud County forced 24 turnovers and outscored Barton 28-22 in points in the paint, 10-0 in fast break points, and 21-4 in points off turnovers.

Barton is 2-5 on the year and 0-1 in KJCCC play after falling to No. 1 Dodge City Community College, 65-51, on November 19 in Great Bend. The Cougars have two players averaging in double figures, led by sophomore guard Regina Donanu's 16.4 points per game. Sophomore guard Alaina Eck is averaging 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Alan Clark is in his tenth season as the head coach at Barton.
