Box Score Closing out non-conference play at home, the Cloud County Community College women's basketball team dominated the North Platte Community College Knights, posting a 76-54 win at Arley Bryant Gymnasium on Saturday, November 15. The T-Birds (4-1) led by as many as 29 points on their way to earning their fourth straight victory.

Cloud County's defense shined bright, as they held the visiting Knights to 19-of-61 (31.1 percent) shooting from the field and just 3-of-16 (18..8 percent) shooting from three-point range. The T-Birds also outrebounded North Platte 48-35, and their stellar defensive showing caused the Knights to turn the ball over 26 times leading to 27 points off turnovers.

Eight different players scored for Cloud County in the win. The T-Birds were led by freshman forward Sofija Todorovic who tallied a season-high 25 points on 8-of-10 field goals, including drilling her only three-point attempt of the ballgame. Todorovic also made 8-of-10 foul shots.

Along with Todorovic, freshman guard Camiah Muldrow was in double-figures with 16 points to go with eight rebounds.

Sophomore forward Leila Washington and freshman guard Amanda Makela provided eight points each. Washington added nine rebounds, while Makela finished with six rebounds and three steals.

Freshman guard Jelena Jankovic netted seven points to go with four assists and three rebounds.

Sophomore forward Shea Wurtz grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and added six points. Sophomore guard Lauren Marron and freshman guard Marilyn Soeken had three points apiece.

Cloud County jumped out to a 25-10 lead at the end of the first quarter after knocking down four treys in the period. The T-Birds held a 42-21 lead at intermission, before building it out to a 29 point advantage late in the third quarter. Cloud County's bench outscored North Platte, 35-18.

Cloud County will next open Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play against Seward County Community College on Wednesday, November 19. Tip off from Arley Bryant Gymnasium is scheduled for 6 pm. The game will be streamed on the T-Bird Sports Network. The game will also be broadcast on NCK 94.9 with Austin McNorton on the call.
