The Cloud County Community College women's basketball team wraps up non-conference play on Saturday, November 15, welcoming North Platte Community College to Arley Bryant Gymnasium for a 2 pm tip.
Cloud County notched their third consecutive win on November 12, defeating Bethany College JV in non-conference play inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium. The victory improved the T-Birds' record to 3-1 overall.
Four T-Birds scored in double-figures, with freshman guard
Jelena Jankovic leading the charge with 20 points and three assists. Jankovic connected on 3-of-6 from three-point range. Freshman forward
Sofija Todorovic contributed 17 points, five rebounds and three assists off the bench. Sophomore forward
Shea Wurtz scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while freshman guard
Camiah Muldrow added 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

The T-Birds took control early, building a comfortable 17 point lead at the end of the first quarter and pushing their advantage to 27 points, 49-22, heading into halftime. Cloud County continued their dominance in the second half, limiting Bethany College JV to 35.1 percent shooting from the field and 28.6 percent shooting from behind the arc.
Cloud County ended the night shooting 30-of-76 (39.5 percent) from the field and 8-of-23 (34.8 percent) from deep. The T-Birds also shot 19-of-24 (79.2 percent) from the free-throw line.
The North Platte Community College Knights sit at 1-4 on the season and are coming off a 94-52 road loss to No. 2 Dodge City Community College on November 11. The Knights are led by freshman guard Aliyah Herron who is averaging 11.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.
Jeff Thurman is in his seventh season as the head coach at North Platte, with a career record of 99-119. Under his leadership, the Knights have captured five Region IX Championships (2018-19, 2021, 2021-22, 2023-24, and 2024-25), three NJCAA Northwest Plains District Championships (2018-19, 2021, and 2024-25), and have made three appearances in the NJCAA Women's Basketball National Tournament.
Saturday marks the first meeting between Cloud County and North Platte since 2022. The T-Birds won that matchup 82-42 after holding the Knights to 29.2 percent (14-of-48) shooting from the field and 14.3 percent (2-of-14) shooting from behind the arc.

After battling the Knights, Cloud County begins Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play when it hosts Seward County Community College on Wednesday, November 19 inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium, with the opening tip scheduled for 6 pm.
