Cloud County Women's Basketball 2025-2026 Schedule

The Cloud County Community College women's basketball program has announced its 2025-26 schedule. The T-Birds will play 16 games at the friendly confines of Arley Bryant Gymnasium, beginning with an exhibition game against Bethany College on October 15. For the fifth straight season, Cloud County will also play a 24-game Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schedule.

The T-Birds will open their campaign at home against Concordia University JV on November 1. Cloud County will then travel to Hutchinson, Kansas for the BSN Tip-Off Classic. The T-Birds will play Neosho County Community College on November 7, followed by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on November 8.

Cloud County plays host to Bethany College JV on November 12 and North Platte Community College on November 15. Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play begins on November 19 when the T-Birds host Seward County Community College, followed by a home conference tilt with Barton Community College on November 22.

The T-Birds will face Cowley College on November 25, before returning home to take on Dodge City Community College on November 29.

Cloud County will open the month of December with a trip to Colby on December 6. After hosting Coffeyville on December 10, the T-Birds will close out the month at Hutchinson on December 13.

The T-Birds will start off the new year hosting Pratt Community College on January 3 in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. Cloud County's next two contests will be on the road, starting with Fort Hays Tech Northwest on January 7 and Garden City Community College on January 10. 

Cloud County concludes the first-half of conference play with home matchups against Butler Community College on January 14 and Independence Community College on January 17.

Conference play continues with road trips to Seward County on January 21 and Barton on January 24. The T-Birds will then face Cowley College at home on January 28, before traveling to Dodge City on January 31.

The final month of the regular season begins with a home game against Colby on February 7. Cloud County will then play at Coffeyville on February 11, host Hutchinson on February 14, and play at Pratt on February 18.

The T-Birds then have a pair of home games, first with Fort Hays Tech Northwest on February 21, followed by Garden City on February 25.

The regular season wraps up with road games against Butler on February 28 and Independence on March 4.

The 2026 NJCAA Region 6 Women's Basketball Division I Tournament is scheduled for March 7-14, while the 2026 NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 24-31.

Under the direction of Cloud County Hall of Fame coach Brett Erkenbrack, the T-Birds return two players from its 2024-2025 team, which finished 17-13 overall. Cloud County returns 5-foot-10 forward Shea Wurtz from Clifton, Kansas. Wurtz made 14 starts last year where she led Cloud County in field-goal percentage at 48.8 percent, which ranked sixth best in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Wurtz also ranked third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.2 points per game while scoring in double-figures 13 times, with two games of 20-plus points.

Also returning is 5-foot-5 guard Lauren Marron of Kansas City, Kansas. Marron tied for fourth on the team in made three-pointers while averaging 2.7 points per game. She played a season-high 29 minutes against Cowley College on February 26, 2025, when she scored 13 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field.

Erkenbrack has rounded out the lineup with an impressive recruiting class that includes one transfer and nine freshmen. Highlighting the list of newcomers is transfer Leila Washington, a 5-foot-10 forward from Garber, Oklahoma. Washington was a Second-Team All-NJCAA Region 2 selection last year at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa, where she averaged a team-best 13.2 points per game on 41.6 percent shooting along with 6.6 rebounds per game and 1.1 blocks per game.

The freshman class consists of guards Sadie Cornell (Superior, NE), Jelena Jankovic (Belgrade, Serbia), Amanda Makela (Kotka, Finland), Camiah Muldrow (Fairburn, GA), Jazlene Ruiz (Las Cruces, NM), and Marilyn Soeken (Claiflin, KS), and forwards Kennedy Dodds (Manhattan, KS), Annika Moore (The Cayman Islands), and Sofija Todorovic (Cacak, Serbia).
