Box Score Led by a game-high 31 points from sophomore guard
TiAna Davis, the Cloud County Community College women's basketball team posted an 81-55 victory over Coffeyville Community College in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play on Wednesday, December 11.
Cloud County has improved its record to 10-2 on the season and 5-2 in KJCCC action. The T-Birds will wrap up their first semester of competition on Saturday, December 14 when they host the defending NJCAA Division I national champions, Hutchinson Community College. The Blue Dragons, ranked No. 1, have extended their program-record winning streak to 49 games, and their KJCCC winning streak to 34 games, following a 45-44 home win over Garden City on December 11. Tipoff to Saturday's game is scheduled for 2 pm inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium in Concordia.Â
Cloud County got off to a fast start, scoring the first 14 points in their matchup against Coffeyville. Freshman
Lilliana Petersen buried three shots from behind the arc in the opening quarter, while Davis added a pair of triples to give the T-Birds a 29-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Davis connected on two more three-pointers in the second frame, the latter of which put Cloud County ahead at 39-19 with 6:35 remaining in the first half. Coffeyville wouldn't go away without a fight, and the Red Ravens outscored the T-Birds by five points in the period, including ending the half on a 10-2 run to trail 46-33 at the break.

Bre Frazier pushed Cloud County's lead out to 18 points at 53-35 early in the third quarter. Coffeyville answered with a 7-0 run, narrowing Cloud County's lead down to eleven points midway through the quarter. Davis added another three-pointer in the third, kick-starting an 8-2 run for the T-Birds that gave Cloud County a 61-44 advantage heading to the fourth quarter.

Kiley Smich, furnishing Cloud County with its largest lead of the game by that stage at 24 points, 68-44. Coffeyville managed to get as close as 16 points in the closing minutes, but the T-Birds finished the game on a 10-0 run to pick up the 26 point victory.
Cloud County had its best shooting night of the season, going 30-of-55 (54.5 percent) from the field, 12-of-20 (60.0 percent) from three-point range, and 9-of-14 (64.3 percent) from the foul line. The T-Birds also took full advantage of Coffeyville's 22 turnovers, converting them into 25 points.
Davis scored in double figures for the tenth straight game, finishing with a season-high 31 points on 11-of-18 (61.1 percent) shooting, including a 7-of-10 (70.0 percent) performance from long-range.
Petersen knocked down four three-pointers to finish with 13 points and four rebounds.
Wurtz collected 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting to go along with five rebounds and three steals.

Talasia Thomas had eight points and four assists each. Thomas also added five rebounds.
Off the bench, Smich posted six points on 3-of-3 shooting, while adding three assists and two rebounds.

DaNae Crosby ended up with five points, four steals, three assists and two rebounds.
Up next, Cloud County will look to end the program's current four-game losing skid to Hutchinson when the two teams meet on December 14. Cloud County's last victory over Hutchinson was a 75-65 win on November 19, 2022. The game will be streamed live on the
