The Cloud County Community College softball team dropped a pair of games to No. 16 Johnson County Community College in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on Saturday, March 28 at the JCCC Softball Field in Overland Park, Kansas, falling 11-2 in five innings in game one and 3-0 in game two.
Johnson County limited the T-Birds to two runs across both games, as the Cavaliers scored 11 runs on ten hits in game one and three runs on five hits in game two. The T-Birds were held without a hit in the second game of the twinbill.
Cloud County's only scoring in game one came on a solo home run by freshman
Maddie Harold, her team-leading fourth long ball of the season, while sophomore
Berkleigh Curtis drew a bases-loaded walk that also scored Harold.

Jaci Vonlintel each finished with a hit in game one. Vonlintel had a double.

Morgan Williams suffered the loss, throwing two innings in the circle with seven earned runs on nine hits with one walk. Curtis threw two innings, permitting two earned runs on one hit with four walks.
Harold took the loss in game two. Harold allowed just three earned runs on five hits while striking out two batters.
The T-Birds will look to bounce back when they travel to Chanute, Kansas to face the Neosho County Panthers in a KJCCC doubleheader on Thursday, April 2, beginning at 1 pm.
