Box Score 2 The Cloud County Community College softball team pulled off a stunning come-from-behind victory against Coffeyville Community College, erasing a six-run deficit to secure a 10-9 walk-off win in game one of a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) doubleheader on Thursday, March 26. The T-Birds fell in game two of the doubleheader, 8-6, at the CCCC Softball Field in Concordia, Kansas.
The T-Birds (8-8, 1-1 KJCCC) sent 11 batters to the plate against two Coffeyville pitchers in the decisive bottom of the seventh inning, scoring all seven of their runs with two outs.

Brooke Lougheed flew out to lead off the inning, freshman pitcher
Morgan Williams reached on an error on the Red Ravens. Sophomore short stop
Maliyah Koster followed with a single to left field, while freshman third baseman
Hannah Gardner drew a walk to load the bases.

Maddie Harold drilled a two RBI double to left field, driving in Williams and Koster.

Jaci Vonlintel scored Gardner on a base-hit to center to cut the deficit to 9-6.
Following a pitching change, freshman designated player
Kadence Hall singled to center field, bringing home Harold to make the score 9-7.
Sophomore catcher
Emalee Johnson reached base on an error, which allowed Vonlintel to score from second, trimming the deficit to one run.
After Curtis drew the second walk of the frame, Lougheed doubled to center field to plate Hall and pinch-runner
Bella Santin to capture Cloud County's third walk-off victory in the last ten days.
Gardner and Koster each had two hits. Gardner recorded a pair of doubles and drove in one run. Koster, Harold and Vonlintel each scored twice, while Lougheed and Curtis added two RBI each.
Williams permitted three runs, two earned, on six hits in relief. The right-hander didn't allow a walk while striking out one in 3.2 innings pitched to earn her second win of the season. Freshman starter
Ava Boden exited the game after 3.1 innings, giving up six runs on six hits with five walks.
Coffeyville opened the scoring in the second game with two runs in the top of the first. Cloud County answered with four runs in the bottom half of the inning. Lougheed led off the inning with a double before scoring on a defensive error on the Red Ravens. Koster also doubled before she and Boden both scored on a two-RBI double to right field by Harold.
The score would remain 4-2 for the next two innings.
In the top of the fourth, Coffeyville evened the score at 4-4.
Following a scoreless fifth inning, the Red Ravens tallied four runs in the top of the sixth to make it 8-4.
Cloud County got a run back in the bottom of the sixth on another run-scoring double by Lougheed.
Harold, who finished with a season-high 10 strikeouts, retired the Red Ravens in order in the top half of the seventh, finishing the frame with a strikeout against sophomore Kaylee Henderson. Harold now has a team-leading 53 strikeouts on the season.
Down to their final out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Harold scored when sophomore catcher
Yesenia Zamarron reached on a Red Ravens error, making it an 8-6 game. Cloud County loaded the bases but a fly out off the bat of Curtis ended the game.
Harold dropped to 3-5 on the season after permitting eight runs, four earned, on nine hits with two walks and 10 punchouts in seven complete innings pitched.
The T-Birds were limited to seven hits. Lougheed led the charge with two hits, both doubles, with one RBI. Harold drove in two runs with her first inning double while also scoring a pair of runs.
Cloud County will continue KJCCC play on Saturday, March 28 with a road doubleheader against No. 16 Johnson County Community College. Johnson County opened KJCCC play Thursday with a pair of road wins at Labette Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm from the JCCC Softball Field in Overland Park, Kansas.
