Cloud County Women's Indoor Track & Field Team Ranked No. 13 in NJCAA Women's Indoor Track & Field National TFRI Rankings

The Cloud County Community College women's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 13 in the initial United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track & Field Rating Index for the 2026 season.

The USTFCCCA's Track & Field Rating Index is a computer rating system which uses an algorithm that emphasizes individual performances, assigning a point value to each individual mark that contributes to a team total to assess its national ranking.

The Cloud County women tallied two wins and three national qualifying marks, including two meet records, at the Washburn Rust Buster, hosted by Washburn University at the Sneed Indoor Athletic Facility in Topeka, Kansas on January 16.

The T-Birds' winners circle once again featured sophomore Maimuna Jallow, who was a double winner in the 60M Dash and the 200M Dash. Jallow set a facility record and a new meet record time of 7.30 in the 60M Dash, before later turning in another meet record time of 23.82 in the 200M Dash. Jallow has qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in both events.

Cloud County freshman pole vaulter Whitney Scott also qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with a vault of 10'6". Scott finished in 18th place, the fourth highest finish among two-year athletes at the meet.

The Cloud County 4x400M Relay team of sophomore Tahlia Lienert and freshmen Makaiah HitchmanAlexis Smith and Addy Goeckel collected a fifth place finish in a time of 4:02.57.

Lienert added a fifth place finish in the 60M Hurdles in a time of 9.02. Hitchman gained another top-10 finish in the 400M Dash, finishing ninth individually in a time of 1:01.72, while Smith added a ninth place finish in the 300M Dash in a time of 42.39.

Sophomore Nele Gösl posted a fifth place finish in the Triple Jump with a leap of 34'10.25".

Freshman Scholastica Herman picked up a tenth place finish in the 800M Run in a time of 2:22.95.

The T-Birds will continue the indoor season this week at the Washburn Open, which is set to run January 30-31, and the Charlie Foster Classic in Kearney, Nebraska on January 30.
