The Cloud County Community College men's track and field team closed out their 2025 indoor regular season at the Washburn University Ichabod Invitational in Topeka, Kansas on February 14 and 15.
Freshman
Abdelaziz Benbrahim, the reigning Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference men's indoor track athlete of the week, won the Men's 800M Run in a time of 1:52.75. The victory marked the third event win for Benbrahim this season. Previously, Benbrahim finished in first place in the 800M Run at the NAIA/Juco Challenge in Pittsburg, Kansas on January 25, before going on to set a new program record in the Men's 1,000M Run at the Steve Miller Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas on February 7.
In the Men's 600 Yard Run, freshman
Barafa Abdulazis ran a time of 1:13.37 to place eighth individually.
Freshman
Mory Diop also recorded a top ten finish, clearing a height of 6'6.25" to place ninth overall in the Men's High Jump.
Sophomore
Josh Shelly set a national qualifying mark in the Men's Weight Throw, finishing in 17th place with a throw of 52'2".
Cloud County heads to Pittsburg, Kansas for the 2025 NJCAA Region 6/Kansas Jayhawk Community College Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 22 and 23.
