The Cloud County Community College men's indoor track and field squad made its way to Pittsburg State University to compete in the NAIA/Juco Challenge on Saturday, January 25. Cloud County placed 18th out of 30 teams with a score of 16.6 points.
In the 800M Run, freshman
Abdelaziz Benbrahim had a strong first place finish in a national qualifying time of 1:53.01. Benbrahim's time also set a new meet record.
Sophomore
Bradley Nkosi secured third place in the 60M Hurdles in a time of 8.27.
Freshman Mory Diop tied for seventh place in the High Jump with a national qualifying height of 6'3".
The T-Birds next will take part in the Herm Wilson Invitational at the Heskett Center at Wichita State University on Friday, January 31, and at the Washburn Open & Multi at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1.
