Cloud County Community College freshman catcher and outfielder Kellan Burke has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) West Division Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, March 10.

The honor marks the first KJCCC weekly award of Burke's career and the third weekly accolade earned by the T-Birds this year.

Burke helped power No. 3 Cloud County to a four-game KJCCC opening series sweep over Pratt Community College last week. Burke hit .438 with seven hits, including four home runs and a triple. All four of Burke's home runs came in the road doubleheader at Pratt on March 7. Burke drove in a total of 15 for the week and scored six times. Burke finished the week with a 1.313 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.

The T-Birds, 19-1 overall and 4-0 in KJCCC play, continue conference action at Garden City Community College on Thursday, March 12. First pitch between the T-Birds and the Broncbusters is set for 1 pm at Williams Stadium in Garden City, Kansas.
