The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has released the 2025 All-NJCAA Region 6 baseball team and conference Gold Glove winners.
The Cloud County Community College baseball team had three players named to the 2025 All-NJCAA Region 6 baseball teams, which are made up of players who were voted first-team All-KJCCC East and West Division by coaches from their respective divisions, with KJCCC DI baseball coaches each voting on the teams.
Sophomore
Nolan Freund was named First-Team All-Region 6. Freund became Cloud County's all-time and single-season hits leader after becoming the first T-Bird in program history to tally 100 hits in a season. Freund, from Kingman, Kansas, ranked third in the KJCCC West in batting average at .422 to go with a .641 slugging percentage. Freund led the team with 71 runs batted in while adding 23 doubles, one triple and nine home runs.
Redshirt freshman outfielder
Matthew Evans earned Second-Team All-Region 6 recognition. Evans, a transfer from the University of Nebraska, finished the season batting .356 with 74 hits, 60 runs scored and 50 runs batted in. Evans, from Tillonsburg, Ontario, Canada, led the team with seven triples to go with 11 doubles and eight home runs.
Freshman pitcher
Cole Linton also earned Second-Team All-Region 6 honors. Linton, who last week was named the KJCCC West Division Pitcher of the Year, posted a 7-2 record on the mound this season. Linton, originally from Goodland, Kansas, had a 4.28 ERA after throwing in a team-high 69.1 innings where he allowed 33 earned runs on 68 hits with 55 strikeouts while walking only six batters. Linton pitched three complete games and had six games with five or more strikeouts.
On the KJCCC Gold Glove baseball team, Cloud County sophomore catcher
Cam Macleod earned the nod following a vote of league coaches at each position. Behind the plate, Macleod had a .997 fielding-percentage with 329 put outs and 26 assists with 10 runners caught stealing. Offensively, Macleod led the T-Birds with 13 home runs on the season. Macleod, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, hit .308 on the year with 45 hits, 48 runs scored and 51 runs batted in.
Cloud County finished the 2025 season at 48-17 overall, marking the most wins in program history after the T-Birds reached the NJCAA Region 6 Plains District Baseball Tournament final for the first time in school history.
