16 Cloud County Community College Baseball Players Sign with Four-Year Schools

After helping the Cloud County Community College baseball team to a top 25 national ranking and a school-record 48 wins in 2025, 16 T-Birds have signed to continue their baseball playing careers at four-year schools.

Nine of the 16 players signed with NCAA Division I schools, five signed with NCAA Division II programs, and two signed with NAIA schools.

Nolan Freund, a honorable mention NJCAA All-American, and Austin Coyle, a honorable mention All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference - West Division selection, have both signed with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Freund became Cloud County's all-time and single-season hits leader after becoming the first T-Bird in program history to tally 100 hits in a season. Freund finished the 2025 season as one of just two players in NJCAA Division I Baseball to record at least 100 hits this past spring. The product of Kingman, Kansas, Freund led all Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference offensive players in hits (100) and total bases (152), on his way to being named First Team All-KJCCC West and First Team All-Region 6. Freund ranked third in the KJCCC West in batting average at .422 to go with a .641 slugging percentage. Freund, a third baseman, led the T-Birds with 71 runs batted in while adding 23 doubles, one triple and nine home runs. Nationally, Freund ranked in the top ten of NJCAA Division I Baseball players in plate appearances (283, 8th), at-bats (237, 5th), and hits (100, 2nd) while ranking 11th in doubles (23) and 14th in total bases (152).

Coyle, an outfielder, finished with a .319 batting average with 73 hits, 74 runs scored and 49 RBI. Coyle, originally from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, had nine doubles, six triples and nine home runs.

Catcher Cam Macleod has signed with Washington State University. A 2025 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Gold Glove selection, Macleod had a .997 fielding-percentage behind the plate with 329 put outs and 26 assists with 10 runners caught stealing. Offensively, Macleod led the T-Birds with 13 home runs on the season. Macleod, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, hit .308 on the year with 45 hits, 48 runs scored and 51 runs batted in.

Caden Marcum, a transfer to Cloud County from Blinn Community College, has signed with Ohio State University. Marcum, a pitcher, was named First Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference after he went 6-2 on the mound this season. Marcum led the team with 85 strikeouts and had a 4.18 ERA, giving up just 28 earned runs on 43 hits. Marcum, a native of Paola, Kansas, held opposing teams to a .189 batting average.

Jack MacIntosh has signed with Southern Illinois University. MacIntosh started nine games and made 17 appearances in the Cloud County pitching rotation in 2025. MacIntosh, a native of Penticton, British Columbia, Canada, had a 3-1 record with a 4.54 ERA. MacIntosh pitched in 39.2 innings, allowing 20 earned runs on 41 hits with 33 strikeouts.

Noah Bourgeois has signed with Southeast Missouri State University. Bourgeois, a native of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, made 17 appearances including three starts on the mound for Cloud County this past spring. Bourgeois, a Second Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference - West Division selection, had a 6-2 record with a 4.57 ERA after throwing 43.1 innings, allowing 22 earned runs on 34 hits with 56 strikeouts. Bourgeois held opposing hitters to a .211 batting average.

Matthew Evans, a transfer to Cloud County from the University of Nebraska, has signed with Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Evans, an outfielder, was named First Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference - West Division and Second Team All-Region 6 after he finished the 2025 season batting .356 with 74 hits, 60 runs scored and 50 runs batted in. Evans, from Tillonsburg, Ontario, Canada, led the team with seven triples to go with 11 doubles and eight home runs.

Noah Konings has signed with Niagara University. Konings, an outfielder, hit .363 with 65 hits, 58 runs scored and 31 runs batted in. Konings, a native of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, ranked sixth on the team in total bases after tallying ten doubles, five triples and two home runs.

David Simmons has signed with Campbell University. Simmons, a redshirt freshman first baseman, started 22 games in 2025 before being sidelined with an injury. The native of Atlanta, Georgia posted a .387 batting average with 29 hits, 25 runs scored and 32 runs batted in. Simmons had a team-leading .667 slugging percentage after recording ten doubles, one triple and three home runs.

Those signing with NCAA Division II schools are right-handed pitcher Aaron Boutz (2-0, 5.71 ERA) with Fort Hays State University, utility player Eric Bradicich (.316, 4 home runs, 32 RBI) with the University of Arkansas at Monticello, left-handed pitcher Creighton Jacobitz (10 strikeouts, 6.35 ERA) with Arkansas Tech, right-handed pitcher Zach Sharshel (2-2, 6.30 ERA) with Washburn University, and outfielder Gannon White (.216, 15 RBI) with Northeastern State University.

Infielder Easton Mould (.290, 20 RBI) signed with NAIA school Pikeville University, while pitcher Myles Chamberlain (3-1, 31 strikeouts, 3.37 ERA) signed with the University of British Columbia.
