Cloud County Community College is excited to announce a fundraising campaign to complete the construction of a new clubhouse and locker room complex at Lee Doyen Field in Concordia.

The $400,000 project will provide a home at the Concordia Sports Complex for the Cloud County baseball program. The enhancements will improve the student-athlete team spaces and overall experience.

The new 2,250 square foot facility will be located adjacent to the Cloud County home dugout. The clubhouse will house new locker rooms, coaches' office and a player lounge area combined with restrooms, laundry facility, equipment storage room and a kitchenette to create a first-class facility for T-Bird student-athletes.

Fundraising began with a lead gift of $150,000 from Cloud County baseball alum Zach Hamel. In recognition of Hamel, the clubhouse will be named Hamel Family Baseball Clubhouse in his honor. The Cloud County Community College Board of Trustees and the Cloud County Community College Foundation Board of Directors contributed $50,000 each to the project, while the Gilliland family, The Citizens National Bank, and baseball alum Jim Dunning and his wife, Jill, have all stepped up to bring the current fundraising total to $315,000.

The Cloud County baseball program and the Cloud County Community College Foundation will once again depend on individual donors throughout T-Bird Nation to enable the project to cross the finish line. Donors who pledge $10,000 or more will receive special recognition inside the building. Fifty player lockers are available for sponsorship at $500 each. By sponsoring a locker, your name will be affixed to a specific locker. Gifts of $100 or more will have their name on a donor plaque inside the building.

Those interested in donating to the project can do so online through the Cloud County Community College Foundation by clicking here.

Construction of the new clubhouse and locker rooms will potentially begin this fall with desired completion in time for the 2026 season.
