Staying in her hometown to play the sport she loves has been special for Cloud County freshman catcher and first baseman Emalee Johnson. A graduate of Concordia High School, Johnson always dreamed of playing college softball. A committed and competitive student-athlete, Johnson has made her presence known on the field, batting .378 on the year with 42 hits and 25 runs scored, playing a vital role in helping coach TJ Segebart's team win six of its final nine games in conference play.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE CLOUD COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE?
I chose Cloud County because it gave me the opportunity to play the sport I love in a community that has supported me my whole life. Concordia is the perfect place to focus on academics and athletics without distractions.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT ATTENDING SCHOOL AT CLOUD COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE?
My favorite part about Cloud County is the people here. The relationships that I have built with my teammates, coaches, and other students will last a lifetime.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION?
After graduation, I plan to move on to a four-year university and continue playing softball while pursuing a career in health care.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OTHER CLOUD COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS?
Work hard and take advantage of the opportunities that are given to you. There are so many people at Cloud County Community College that want to see you succeed.
