The Cloud County Community College wrestling team will have four wrestlers compete in the 2025 NJCAA National Wrestling Championships in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The two-day event will run Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 in Council Bluff's Mid-America Center.
Sophomore
Easton Boone (165 lbs.) earned a wildcard bid to advance to this year's national tournament. Boone, competing at 174 lbs. a year ago, went 3-2 overall at the 2024 national championships, including one win by fall and two by decision. This year, Boone received Cloud County's lone wildcard bid after he lost two matches by medical forfeit at the 2025 South-Central District Tournament in Pratt on February 15. Boone has received a first-round bye in the NJCAA Wrestling Championships. He is scheduled to face the winner of the first-round match between Gabe Lake of North Idaho College and Jeirmi Scales of Southwestern Michigan in the championship second round.

Macallistair Chambers (174 lbs.) has qualified for the national tournament for the second consecutive season. Chambers, who finished 1-2 at the 2024 national tournament, dropping both matches to ranked opponents by decision at 165 lbs., is coming off a sixth place finish at the South-Central District Tournament. Chambers has received a first-round bye in the NJCAA Wrestling Championships. In the championship second round, Chambers will square off with Jesse Thornton of Northwest College, who has also received a first-round bye.
Freshman
Micah Cauthers (184 lbs.) posted a sixth-place finish at the South-Central District Tournament to qualify for the national tournament. Cauthers will open tournament action against Aidyn Wolf of Minnesota West in a first-round match.
Freshman
Jayden Berry (285 lbs.) also finished in sixth-place individually at the South-Central District Tournament on February 15. Berry has received a first-round bye in the national tournament. He will meet up with Umair Ahmad of Iowa Central in the championship second-round.
The 2025 NJCAA National Wrestling Championships will begin with first round matches at 9 am on Friday, March 7. The championship second round matches will come after, followed by the consolation first round, consolation second round, and consolation third round. The championship quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at 5:45 pm Friday, with the consolation fourth round and the consolation quarterfinals closing out the first day of competition. The tournament will conclude on Saturday, March 8, starting with the championship semifinals at 9:30 am. The consolation semifinals are scheduled for 11 am, with the consolation finals to follow at 12:15 pm. The championship finals are slated to start at 6 pm Saturday.
