The Cloud County Community College wrestling team continues its 2025-2026 season on Saturday, November 22 at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Younes Hospitality Open in Kearney, Nebraska.
The T-Birds are sending ten student-athletes to compete in the open, which will be held inside the Kearney SportsPlex. The tournament will feature more than 800 athletes representing over 40 schools competing across three divisions.

The T-Birds had eight wrestlers compete in the freshman and sophomore division at the 2025 Grand View Open in Grimes, Iowa on November 15. Freshmen
Drew Sterrett (141 lbs.) and
Brayden Hill (285 lbs.) both went 3-2 overall, while
Gael Garcia (125 lbs.),
Dionisio Holguin (197 lbs.) and
Jacob Vasquez (165 lbs.) picked up one win each. Freshman
Tyler Pankey (197 lbs.) placed sixth individually while competing unattached.
This year marks the second straight season the T-Birds have competed at the Younes Hospitality Open. Last year, Vasquez finished 1-2 overall at 165, while
Micah Cauthers also went 1-2 overall at 184 lbs.
