The Cloud County Community College wrestling team heads to Grimes, Iowa on Saturday, November 15 for the annual Grand View Open, hosted by Grand View University. Action will begin at 9 am with live streaming available on

FloWrestling.
The T-Birds picked up their first dual victory of the season on November 12, earning a 33-17 win over Murray State College at a tri-dual in Beatrice, Nebraska. Cloud County claimed six of the ten contested bouts, including four by fall, one by decision and one by forfeit.
Luke Potter (133 lbs.),
Micah Cauthers (174 lbs.),
David Holguin (197 lbs.) and
Brayden Hill (285 lbs.) each earned victories by fall.
Drew Sterrett (141 lbs.) added a 3-0 decision over Hudson Beckley, while
Trevor Vasquez (184 lbs.) added a win by forfeit.
In their final dual of the night, Cloud County fell to No. 4 Southeast Community College, 44-3. Freshman
Dakota Gibson provided the highlight of the match, earning an 11-5 decision over Keaton Kloke at 141 pounds for the T-Birds' three team points.
Nearly 50 teams from all divisions and close to 700 wrestlers will converge at the Ignit Sports Complex in Grimes, Iowa for this weekend's Grand View Open, an exciting day of competition in one of the largest collegiate opens in the country. At last year's event, Cloud County's
Noah Bailey finished 3-2 at 149 lbs.,
Jacob Vasquez ended up 3-2 at 165 lbs., and
Micah Cauthers went 3-2 at 184 lbs.
