                     The Cloud County Community College volleyball team returns home for two more Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) contests, hosting Seward County Community College on Wednesday, October 22 at 6:30 pm, before squaring off with Dodge City Community College on Saturday, October 25 at 3 pm inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium. Both matches will be streamed live on the 
T-Bird Sports Network.
The T-Birds enter the week having lost six straight, most recently falling in a three-set road loss at Hutchinson Community College on October 18 in KJCCC play, 16-25, 21-25, 16-25. Freshman middle blocker 
Zoey Sudbeck led all T-Birds in the match with nine kills on a .250 attack percentage. Sophomore pin hitter 
Carlie Carlgren finished with seven kills and eight digs. Freshman middle hitter 
Elizabeth Schuster followed with five kills on a .385 attack percentage to go with five blocks. Freshman setter 
Ylvie Schmid contributed 22 assists, eight digs and two service aces. Defensively, redshirt freshman defensive specialist 
Addyson Ogle provided eight digs, while sophomore libero 
Beatrice Giusti had seven digs.
Cloud County is 6-18 overall, with four of their six wins coming at home. Offensively, Carlgren continues to drive Cloud County's scoring attack with a team-leading 172 kills, an average of 1.93 kills per set. Sudbeck and Schuster both have 150 total kills on the year, and Schuster leads the T-Birds with 30 service aces. Schuster also has a team-leading 76 blocks, while Sudbeck follows with 58.
Ogle and Schmid continue to guide the offense. Ogle has a team-high 335 assists, an average of 4.19 assists per set, while Schmid has tallied 315 assists, an average of 6.43 assists per set.
In the back row, Giusti ranks first on the team with 328 digs, an average of 3.60 digs per set. Freshman 
Brooke Lougheed has recorded 228 digs, an average of 2.78 digs per set.
Seward County is currently 8-15 overall and 5-7 in conference play. The Saints are coming off a four-set loss to Garden City Community College on October 18. Prior to that, Seward County upended then-No. 9 Colby Community College in a four-set match on October 15, handing the Trojans their first conference loss of the season.
Earlier this season, Cloud County dropped a three-set match at Seward County on September 20 by set scores of 16-25, 17-25, 22-25. In the match, sophomore 
Iza Caroline da Silva paced Cloud County with 11 kills on a .241 attack percentage. Ogle dished out 19 assists in the match. Ogle also added 13 digs, while Giusti led the team defensively, notching 16 digs.
Fans can follow the Cloud County Athletic Department's social media platforms all week long for live updates, starting with Wednesday's match against Seward County. Saturday's contest against Dodge City will be the volleyball program's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Match. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to Saturday's match to support the fight against Breast Cancer.
