The Cloud County Community College men's outdoor track and field team completed the three-day NJCAA Region 6/Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Arkansas City, Kansas on Saturday, May 2, finishing in fourth place as a team with 96 points.

Cloud County earned region titles in the Decathlon, Triple Jump, 400M Dash and the 4x400M Relay.

The T-Bird Men's 4x400M Relay team of freshman Keon Williams, sophomore Barafa Abdulazis, freshman Gage Taylor and sophomore Alpha Mpofu established a new school record with a winning time of 3:08.28.

Mpofu broke another school record and set a new Region 6 record with his first place finish in the Men's 400M Dash, winning with a time of 45.50. Abdulazis was sixth in the race with a time of 46.97.

In the Men's Triple Jump, freshman Conor Matthews claimed the Region 6 title with a leap of 49'1.75". Freshman Daiquan Monteith finished in sixth place at 46'0."

Freshman Andy Cooper won the Men's Decathlon with a total of 6,025 total points. Cooper won the Discus, finished second in the High Jump, Long Jump and 400M Run and placed third in the 110M Hurdles. Sophomore Cody Sharp added an eighth place finish with 5,295 total points. Sharp won the 1,500M Run, and placed second in the Javelin and second in the Discus.

Mpofu turned in a runner-up finish in the Men's 200M Dash with a time of 20.76.

Sophomore Braylon Bittel added runner-up performances in the Men's Discus and the Men's Javelin Throw. Bittel placed second in the Men's Discus with a toss of 155'7". Bittel also placed second in the Men's Javelin Throw with a throw of 174'07". Sophomore DJ Holman followed in third place in the Men's Javelin Throw at 170'6", while Sharp was sixth with a throw of 160'2".

Matthews landed a fourth place finish in the Men's Long Jump at a mark of 23'1.75."

Sophomore Bailey Burns recorded a fifth place finish in the Men's 100M Dash with a time of 10.55.

Taylor captured a seventh place finish in the Men's 400M Hurdles with a time of 54.65.

Taylor joined sophomore Abdelaziz Benbrahim, freshman Zeb Schultze and freshman Nicholas Johnson on the Men's 4x800M Relay team that placed seventh overall with a time of 7:47.68.

In the Men's High Jump, freshman Jaymion Jones notched a seventh place finish at a height of 6'5.5".

Freshman Davis Miltner picked up an eighth place finish in the Men's 10,000M Run with a time of 33:46.52.

The T-Birds will close out the regular season at the 2026 Shocker Open at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kansas on May 8, before competing in the 2026 NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico May 14-16.
