Box Score 2 The Cloud County Community College baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader with Coffeyville Community College to extend their win streak to seven games on Wednesday, April 15. The T-Birds won game one 10-6 in seven innings, before taking game two by a final of 15-6.
The T-Birds are scheduled to play two more non-conference games on Saturday, April 18 against Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa.
Freshman
Ian Razak earned the start for the T-Birds in game one, working five innings to earn the win. Razak allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits. He also tallied one strikeout and two walks.
Sophomore
Evan Bogart fired one inning, allowing four runs on three hits.
Freshman
Jackson Fox worked a scoreless seventh inning with one strikeout.
The T-Birds plated 10 runs on 12 hits. Freshman outfielder
Broxton Barrientos collected three hits with one double and three RBI. Redshirt freshman outfielder
Evan Gunn added two hits with a run scored. Redshirt freshman outfielder
Simon Baker launched a home run and finished with two hits and two runs scored.
With his solo homer in the first, Baker hit his 17th home run of the season. He currently leads Cloud County with home runs.
Sophomore third baseman
Kaden Budke blasted his 15th homer on a solo shot in the first.
The T-Birds scored four runs through the first two innings before breaking the game open with five runs on five hits in the fifth. Barrientos and freshman first baseman

Vasya Seymour contributed a RBI single for the final run in the top half of the seventh.
Cloud County scored 12-unanswered runs to rally from behind for a 15-6 victory in game two.

The T-Birds trailed 6-3 entering the bottom of the sixth. Sophomore first baseman
Luke Clayton smacked a two-run home to center field to open the inning. The T-Birds tied the game at 6-6 on a RBI double to right by Budke that scored redshirt freshman outfielder

Lucas Laukkanen added a RBI on a sacrifice fly to put Cloud County ahead at 7-6.
The T-Birds increased the lead with four runs in the seventh. Clayton crushed a solo home run to center field for his second of the game, while Gunn and Laukkanen provided RBI hits.
Cloud County added four more insurance runs in the eighth. Gunn doubled to score Jacobson and Budke. Gunn later scored on a defensive error. Laukkanen capped the scoring with a solo home run to left to make it 15-6.
Laukkanen delivered a standout performance, recording four hits with three solo home runs. Laukkanen also hit homers in the first and fifth innings. He accumulated five RBI and crossed the plate three times.
Clayton added three hits with two home runs with three RBI and two runs scored.
Baker collected three hits with a double and a triple with a run scored.
Gunn had two hits with a double, two runs scored and three RBI.
Sophomore
Kai Rempel earned the win, pitching 2.1 innings in relief without allowing a run. Sophomore
Sam Brummund pitched the final inning, finishing with one strikeout and one walk. Sophomore
Cole Linton started for Cloud County and pitched 5.2 innings, allowing six runs, two earned, on eight hits with one walk and six strikeouts.
Cloud County has improved its record to 39-4 on the season.Â
