Box Score The Cloud County Community College baseball team won the first game of a home doubleheader over Butler Community College by an 8-1 margin on Saturday, April 11, to take the first three games of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) series.
Game two of the doubleheader at Lee Doyen Field in Concordia, Kansas has been suspended until 1 pm on Sunday, April 12 due to weather. The game will resume in the bottom of the second inning. Live coverage of the game will be streamed live on the

Sophomore
Cohen Nelson started for Cloud County in game one and was brilliant in going six innings with just two hits plus one run allowed with no walks and 11 strikeouts, improving his record to 3-0. Freshman
Bradley Janes closed the game out, pitching a scoreless seventh inning with one strikeout.
Redshirt freshman
Simon Baker led the charge for the offense with two hits, including a three-run home run and a run-scoring triple. Baker, who also reached twice on base on balls, recorded a game-high four RBI and scored twice. Freshman outfielder

The T-Birds have improved to 36-4 overall and 20-3 in KJCCC play with the win.
Cloud County struck first by loading the bases and scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Sophomore third baseman
Kaden Budke led off the game with a walk before being brought home when Burke reached on a fielder's choice. Marino later drove in Seidl with an RBI single to center field to give the T-Birds a 2-0 advantage.
Baker hit a towering three-run home run in the bottom of the second inning for his team-leading 16th home run of the season. It marked Baker's fourth home run in the series.
Laukkanen lifted a solo shot over the left field wall in the bottom of the third to extend Cloud County's lead to 6-0.
The T-Birds added a pair more to the advantage in the bottom of the fourth when Baker tripled to center field to score Seidl. Burke followed with an RBI single to score Baker.
Butler broke through with a run in the top of the sixth on a two-out RBI single by freshman outfielder Danny Wideman.
