The Cloud County Community College baseball team has slipped to No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals released on Monday, March 16.
The T-Birds opened the year unranked before climbing as high as No. 3 in the national poll. Cloud County stayed in the top-10 after a 4-1 week last week that included three Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) wins over Garden City.
Cloud County is one of three KJCCC schools in the top-10. Johnson County Community College is ranked No. 1, while Hutchinson Community College is ranked No. 10. Barton Community College is also ranked in the latest top-25 at No. 24.
Cloud County is 22-2 overall and 7-1 in KJCCC action.
Up next for the T-Birds is a KJCCC series with Colby Community College, beginning with a home doubleheader on Thursday, March 19 at 1 pm. The series will later shift to Colby for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 21, beginning at 1 pm.
