The Cloud County Community College wrestling team had four wrestlers named to the 2025-26 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Wrestling All-Conference teams.
Wrestlers who represented their respective institution at the 2026 NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament on February 14th in Pratt, Kansas were nominated for the All-Conference teams with all eight head coaches in the league submitting their ballots at each of the 10 weight classes to make up the all-conference teams.
Freshmen
Tyler Pankey (197 lbs.) and
Brayden Hill (285 lbs.) were selected as Second Team All-KJCCC selections.
A native of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Pankey reached the first place match at the 2026 NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament after dominating the competition, recording three straight falls over Gunner Owens of Colby Community College, Corey Chilcoat of Carl Albert State College, and Jason Osgood of Cowley College. In the finals, Pankey lost by fall to Preston Hagel of Pratt Community College.
Hill, a product of Garden City, Kansas, lost a heartbreaker via tiebreaker points in his semifinal bout against Marcel Gonzalez of Pratt Community College at the NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament. After securing a victory by fall over Christian Clark of Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa in the consolation semifinals, Hill claimed third place at 285 lbs. with a win by fall over Brandon Schoenecke of Carl Albert State College.
A native of Wichita, Kansas and a 133 lbs. wrestler, freshman
Luke Potter has been named a Third Team All-KJCCC selection after earning a fourth place finish at the NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament. After losing his opening round bout by a fall to Louden Wolfe of Cowley College, Potter earned crucial victories over Talon Suttles of Colby Community College by fall, a 10-1 major decision over Shane Todd of Barton Community College, and a medical forfeit victory over Jordan Cullors of Labette Community College. In the third place match, Potter lost by an 11-1 major decision to Logan Crawford of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Dakota Gibson closed out the NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Tournament with a fourth place finish at 141 lbs, earning him Third Team All-KJCCC honors. After losing by a fall to Tyler Misenheimer of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in the semifinals, Gibson bounced back to defeat Sebastian Rodriguez of Colby Community College by a 16-6 major decision in the consolation semifinals. Gibson forfeited his third place match to Tucker Collinsworth of Labette Community College.

The T-Birds will be back in action Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 when they travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa for the 2026 NJCAA National Championships. Joining Pankey, Hill, Potter and Gibson in qualifying for the national championships are sophomores
Noah Bailey (149 lbs.),
Jacob Vasquez (165 lbs.) and
Micah Cauthers (174 lbs.).
