The Cloud County Community College men's track and field team won one event and recorded two runner-up finishes at the weather-shortened Friends University Spring Open last week.
Due to the weather, the T-Birds did not take part in the final day of the meet on April 4.
Freshman
Abdelaziz Benbrahim led the way with a first place finish in the Men's 800M Run in a national qualifying time of 1:52.36.
Sophomore
Trey Collins tied for second place individually in the Men's High Jump, clearing 6'4.75".

Josh Shelly notched a second place finish in the Men's Hammer Throw with a throw of 171'9". Freshman Timothy
Asa Berry placed sixth individually in the Men's Hammer Throw with a throw of 140'7".
Also in field events, freshman
Braylon Bittel posted a sixth place finish in the Men's Discus with a toss of 139'8". Sophomore
Andre Smikle was ninth individually in the Men's Discus with a throw of 138'5".
Smikle added a seventh place finish in the Men's Shot Put with a toss of 45'7.25".
On the track, sophomore
Bradley Nkosi turned in a fifth place finish in the Men's 110M Hurdles with a personal-best, national qualifying time of 14.36.
Freshman
Bailey Burns placed eighth overall in the Men's 100M Dash in a time of 10.9.
Cloud County next will compete in the KT Woodman Classic on April 11 and 12 at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
